Next was the drive down to Golden, in the Columbia River Valley. This is a great base for activities like hiking, climbing and other fun activities. Here we took a ride up to a mountain top to see one of the best views in the Rockies. Then, we took our lives in our hands as we went whitewater river rafting on the Kicking Horse River. Twin Hollows Campground is a free-standing campground, perfect for camping, but if you're traveling with a Class A motorhome, be careful with parking, as some parking lots are very sandy and can easily get stuck. There's also a beautiful stream out back. We stayed here for one night and were quite impressed because it's close to Zion National Park and has a tunnel that we could easily visit.
